A little reminder… you don’t need a wardrobe full of clothes to be stylish. Instead, it’s about how you wear your clothes and how they make you feel. It’s about curating looks that you’ll want to wear again because they make you feel fabulous. As a Personal Stylist, I work with many clients with wardrobes that are bursting at the seams but complain that they aren’t stylish and have nothing to wear. The solution to this is to start with what you already own rather than hitting the shops to solve the problem - because it doesn’t solve the problem, it actually adds to the problem. Wear your favourite outfit and take note of why it makes you feel so good. What elements of it do you like? Then try recreating this with different items in your wardrobe. Photograph each look so you have a record and repeat until you have created a small selection of looks you love using only what you own. Doing this will help you identify the key elements to your style and make building outfits easier. It’ll also help you identify what isn’t working for you in your wardrobe and allow you to edit those pieces out so you’re left with only what works for you and your style. Start with what you have and work from there. Curate a wardrobe you love and one that makes you feel fabulous because life is too short for clothes that make you feel bleugh!
