🍓 Basic Fruit Leather (Any Fruit) 🍑 Ingredients: * 4 cups ripe fruit (strawberries, peaches, apples, pears, apricots, etc.) * 1–3 tablespoons raw honey (optional, depending on sweetness of the fruit) * 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional, helps preserve color) Instructions: 1. Wash and prepare fruit, removing pits, stems, or cores. 2. Blend fruit until completely smooth. 3. Taste and add honey if needed. 4. Stir in lemon juice. 5. Pour onto silicone dehydrator sheets and spread evenly to about ⅛-inch thick. 6. Dehydrate at 135°F for 6–12 hours, depending on the fruit and humidity. 7. Fruit leather is done when it is dry to the touch but still flexible. 8. Carefully peel the fruit leather from the silicone mat and place it onto a sheet of parchment paper. 9. Roll it up tightly, then use scissors or a sharp knife to cut it into individual strips, just like homemade Fruit by the Foot. Storage: Store in an airtight container for 1–2 weeks at room temperature, several months in the refrigerator, or freeze for longer storage. 👍🏻 Real Food Tip: Most ripe fruit is naturally sweet enough that you can skip the sweetener altogether. Peaches, plums, pears, apples, and berries all make delicious fruit leather with nothing more than fruit and a little lemon juice. LTKfoodie LTKSeasonal LTKKids
