25 Interior Design Tips for 2025 — Part 8
How to Make Your Small Bedroom Feel Visually Larger”
1. Start With an Oversized Area Rug
A large rug expands the visual footprint of the room by drawing the eye outward. Even if your bedroom is small, going bigger tricks the mind into perceiving more floor space.
2. Choose Larger Nightstands
Skip the tiny tables. I love using three-drawer dressers as nightstands — they give you extra storage and create beautiful symmetry on both sides of the bed, which instantly makes a room feel more intentional and balanced.
3. Add Mirrors Beside the Bed
Mirrors are a small-space essential. Placing them near the nightstands helps bounce light into darker corners and visually widens the room without adding clutter.
4. Opt for Extra-Large Table Lamps
This is the one thing I’d tell you to upgrade immediately. Oversized lamps add height, presence, and warm ambient light, making your bedroom feel airy instead of cramped.
5. Hang Ceiling-Height Curtains
Mounting your curtains at the ceiling pulls the eye upward and makes the ceilings feel dramatically taller. For even more vertical lift, pair the curtains with a tall olive tree in the corner to draw the eye up.

🎄✨ Hosting this holiday season? Here are 10 simple tips to make your home feel warm, effortless, and elevated (without losing your mind 😉):

1️⃣ A good holiday playlist — music sets the tone before guests even walk in.
2️⃣ Prep an appetizer — something easy and pretty goes a long way.
3️⃣ Restock the bathroom — think soap, hand towels, and a candle that smells amazing.
4️⃣ Start with a clean entryway — it’s the first impression, so make it shine.
5️⃣ Designate a drop-zone — a spot for coats, purses, and shoes keeps clutter at bay.
6️⃣ Perfect your lighting — warm, dimmed lamps make everyone look and feel their best.
7️⃣ Simplify drinks — one signature cocktail + one mocktail = stress-free hosting.
8️⃣ Prep your playlist early — don’t forget the classics!
9️⃣ Prepare for leftovers — have containers or a plan so cleanup’s a breeze.
🔟 Add fresh flowers — it’s the final touch that instantly elevates your space.

Hosting doesn’t have to be overwhelming—it’s all about creating a feeling. ✨

✨ How to Decorate a Bedroom Like an Interior Designer — using only Amazon finds ✨

This space was inspired by one of my all-time favorite designers, Amber Interiors. The goal? Something timeless, traditional, and effortlessly elevated — all while staying budget-friendly.

A few of my favorite designer tips:
🛏️ Stick to a neutral color palette when you’re mixing furniture pieces — it instantly feels cohesive and high-end.
💡 If you’re decorating on a budget, buy a headboard instead of a full bed frame. You can always grab an inexpensive frame (even thrift one from Goodwill) and still get that custom look.
🪞 I’ll always advocate for a three-drawer dresser in small bedrooms — it gives you the same storage, but looks perfectly symmetrical and balanced.

This entire setup feels timeless, and the best part? You can easily layer in holiday decor without it ever feeling out of place.

Part 7️⃣ | All Things Window Treatments 🪟✨
If you have a space that feels unfinished — or you want it to look brighter, taller, and more elevated — window treatments are your secret weapon.

Here’s the formula 🧠:
➡️ Measure the window width × 2–2.5 to determine your curtain panel width (you always want fullness!).
➡️ Hang high + wide — mount your rod 4–6” above the window frame and extend it 8–12” past each side to make your windows look larger and your ceilings higher.

My biggest tip? Never hang curtains right at the trim. You want height and volume to create that designer illusion.

And for my favorite combo: pinch-pleat curtains layered with Roman shades — timeless, polished, and effortlessly custom. 🤍

🎄✨ 25 Interior Design Tips for 2025 — Part 6
Let’s talk about how to decorate your front door for the holidays like an interior designer 👇🏼
Holiday decor doesn’t have to mean decking out your entire house in lights — if you just focus on your front door, you can still make a major statement (and do it on a budget).
1️⃣ Start with the wreath. This is your main focal point, so go big! I like 24" or larger. If you have double doors, keep them perfectly symmetrical for that designer look.
2️⃣ Planters with faux trees. These bring height and dimension — plus, no watering required! I love pre-lit or flocked trees depending on your vibe.
3️⃣ Layer your doormats. It’s winter, which means more texture = more cozy. Try a neutral woven rug underneath a holiday-themed mat for instant warmth.
4️⃣ Add accent details. Oversized ornaments, lanterns, ribbon, or even extra greenery — this is where you can really personalize your look and let your creativity shine.
Holiday decorating is so much easier when you start small — and a stunning front door setup is the perfect place to begin.

✨ 25 INTERIOR DESIGN TIPS FOR 2025 ✨
Today we’re talking builder-grade glow-ups — because even if your home started basic, it doesn’t have to stay that way 👇🏼

1️⃣ Paint. It’s the easiest but most time-consuming update — and worth every second. Most builder-grade homes come with one flat paint color throughout, so adding depth and contrast instantly makes it feel custom.

2️⃣ Cabinet hardware. They always give you the cheapest option to save money — but this is an easy, affordable fix. I’ve been loving brushed nickel and polished silver for a timeless, elevated look.

3️⃣ Light fixtures. Most come with nothing but standard bulbs (yikes). Start small: update your kitchen pendants or entryway lighting for a big impact.

4️⃣ Window treatments. If you still have those plastic blinds — remove them immediately 😅 I love roman shades or pinch pleat curtains for a finished, designer look.

5️⃣ Undercabinet lighting. My personal fave DIY! I use mine daily — it creates the prettiest soft glow at night and makes your kitchen feel high-end.

💡 It’s all about layering thoughtful upgrades that make your space feel intentionally designed.
Which one of these would you start with first? 👇🏼

✨My three favorite Christmas decor themes for 2025✨

1️⃣ Kitschy Christmas — If you’re picturing Anthropologie during the holidays, that’s exactly the vibe. Think pinks, pastels, vintage ornaments, and lots of playful color. It’s girly, fun, and if I lived alone—this would 1000% be my theme 🎀

2️⃣ Ralph Lauren Christmas — My personal favorite. I’ve done a whole video on this one because it’s so timeless. Classic reds, greens, tartans, and candlelight. Cozy, traditional, and just feels like Christmas 🎄

3️⃣ Old Timber / Woodland Christmas — If I lived in a cabin in the woods, this would be the dream. Lots of neutrals, natural textures, pine, and forest-inspired accents. It’s peaceful, understated, and beautiful 🌲

Which one fits your home the most this year? 💭

✨Day 4 of 25 Days of Interior Design Tips ✨
Today we’re talking small space hacks — because even the tiniest rooms can feel designer-level with the right tricks 👏🏼

1️⃣ Color drenching — Painting your walls, trim, and even ceiling the same color actually makes the room feel larger and more cohesive (dark colors can totally work here!) 🎨
2️⃣ Ceiling-height curtains — I love a custom pinch-pleat curtain hung as high as possible. It instantly elongates your walls and gives that elevated, designer look. 🪟
3️⃣ Oversized area rugs — Bigger is always better. A large rug visually expands the floor space and grounds the room beautifully. 🏠
4️⃣ Taller greenery — Whether it’s a faux tree or real plant, go oversized. It draws the eye upward and balances your furniture proportions perfectly. 🌿

Part 3 of my 25 Interior Design Tips for 2025: Let’s talk RUG SIZING 🏡✨
Because nothing throws off a room faster than a rug that’s too small (and I promise it’s the most common mistake I see).
Here’s what you need to know ⬇️
✔️ Always size up — a bigger rug makes your space feel larger and more cohesive.
✔️ At least the front legs of your furniture should sit on the rug — it visually anchors the room.
✔️ Leave 8–12" of floor showing around the rug edges for balance.
✔️ In the bedroom, the rug should extend 18–24" past each side of the bed (no tiny rugs under a king bed 😅).
✔️ Dining chairs should stay on the rug even when pulled out — 24" beyond the table is ideal.
✔️ Layer smaller rugs over jute or sisal bases to get that designer look for less.
If you take away one thing from this video: when in doubt, go bigger. The right rug size completely transforms your space. 🫶🏼
Would you want me to make a room-by-room rug size guide next? 👀

🧼✨ “Hygiene for your home” — because while I love decorating, a happy home starts with being clean, healthy, and high-functioning.

Here’s your checklist for a cleaner, fresher home:

1️⃣ Change your AC filter monthly — this one’s huge for air quality. It helps your HVAC system run more efficiently, lowers dust buildup, and keeps allergens and pet dander under control. You’ll literally breathe easier. 🌬️

2️⃣ Use an air purifier — especially if you have pets. It helps remove dust, odors, and invisible particles floating in the air (think pollen, bacteria, even candle soot). I keep one running in our bedroom and main living area 24/7. 🐾

3️⃣ Change your bedding weekly — sheets collect sweat, oils, and skin cells (gross but true). I stick to white bedding because it’s easy to bleach and sanitize, and I keep multiple sets on hand so I can rotate them easily. Crisp white sheets = instant hotel vibes. 🤍

4️⃣ Vacuum + mop weekly — don’t wait for visible dirt. Consistent cleaning keeps your floors truly clean and prevents grime from building up. Pro tip: vacuum slowly to actually lift dust and allergens, and use a gentle floor cleaner that won’t dull finishes. 🧹✨

5️⃣ Keep hypochlorous acid on hand — it’s my cleaning secret weapon. Naturally derived, non-toxic, and powerful enough to disinfect surfaces, kill bacteria, deodorize, and even refresh fabric. It’s safe for pets, kids, and sensitive skin — truly magic in a bottle. 💧

6️⃣ Run your diffuser daily — I keep mine going 24/7 with fresh, non-toxic essential oils. It makes your home smell clean even when you’re not there, helps purify the air, and creates that calm, cozy atmosphere that makes home feel like home. 🌿

Because the truth is — a beautiful home means nothing if it isn’t fresh, healthy, and high-functioning. ✨

✨ Episode 2: 25 Interior Design Tips for 2025 ✨
Let’s talk table lamps — one of those small details that completely change a space. 🤍

Here’s what I always consider when shopping for them ⬇️

1️⃣ Height matters most. The lamp should complement the height of your headboard. Personally, I only go for large, oversized lamps on nightstands — anything under 20” feels too small.

2️⃣ The base is just as important. I love when it has visual weight — wide, substantial, and grounding. Skinny or slender bases tend to get lost next to furniture.

3️⃣ The shade sets the mood. Larger shades give off a softer, golden glow — exactly what you want in a cozy bedroom. 🌙

💡 Bonus tip: If your lamp isn’t dimmable, use smart bulbs (or small wattage bulbs) to get that same warm, relaxing vibe.

Would you rather go oversized and statement-making or sleek and minimal with your lamps?

If your home ever feels flat or “off” and you can’t quite figure out why — this is probably the reason 👇🏼
Most people decorate all at once instead of layering intentionally.
Designers, on the other hand, always think in layers: base, middle, and top.
Each one has a purpose, and together they create that balanced, magazine-worthy look (without needing a huge budget).
Let’s break it down 🪞✨
🏛️ Base Layer — Furniture
This is the foundation of your space. It’s everything that sets the tone and defines flow — your sofa, rug, bed, dresser, or dining table.
Think scale and placement first. Even the prettiest decor can’t fix a layout that doesn’t make sense. I always recommend starting with your biggest piece (like a sofa or bed) and building out from there before adding anything decorative.
💡 Middle Layer — Art & Lighting
Once your foundation is solid, add your visual interest. This is where your personality really starts to shine through.
Art, mirrors, sconces, pendants, and table lamps all add depth and dimension.
A common mistake I see? Relying only on overhead lighting. Layered lighting makes your home feel warm, cozy, and designed.
If a room feels dull, it’s usually because this layer is missing.
🕯️ Top Layer — Styling Objects
This is your finishing touch — the detail that brings the whole story together.
Pillows, throws, trays, candles, vases, books, stems… these are the pieces that make a space feel lived in yet intentional.
Mix textures (glass + linen + wood), vary heights, and style in groups of three for that effortless designer look.
✨ The Rule:
If something feels off, don’t buy more decor — step back and ask yourself:
“Which layer is missing?”
Decorating in layers is how you create rooms that feel collected, cohesive, and done. It’s the difference between a space that looks styled and one that feels curated

How to decorate a bedroom like an interior designer (Amazon edition 😉)✨
Today’s topic: mixing wood tones — because not everything has to match to look cohesive. The key is balance 🤍
I like to tie different wood tones together using decorative elements like art, area rugs, and soft textiles that blend the tones throughout the space. It creates that layered, designer look — all without the price tag.
Which tone are you most drawn to — light oak, walnut, or espresso? 👀
Let’s talk lighting 💡✨
Choosing the right lightbulbs makes a huge difference in how your home feels — cozy and inviting vs. harsh and cold. Here’s how to actually read those lightbulb boxes 👇🏼

1️⃣ Watts (W): This used to be the main way we measured brightness — but now it’s often replaced with lumens. Higher lumens = brighter light. You’ll still see watts listed, but for modern LED bulbs, lumens are the number that really tell you how bright the bulb will be.

2️⃣ Kelvin (K): This measures the color temperature of the light.
• 2700K–3000K → warm, golden glow (my favorite for that cozy, inviting vibe 🌤️)
• 3500K–4000K → bright, neutral white — great for kitchens & bathrooms
• 5000K+ → cool daylight — perfect for offices or task lighting

Personally, I’m team warm glow all the way — I want lighting that feels like golden hour, not a doctor’s office 😂

💡Tip: Always check those two numbers on the box — lumens for brightness and K for warmth or coolness. They’ll tell you exactly how your space will look once the lights are on.

Are you team warm glow or bright white?⬇️

Let’s talk about the Ralph Lauren Christmas trend that’s taking over this year 🎄✨ Think timeless, cozy, and sophisticated — the kind of Christmas that feels like it belongs in a mountain lodge or a country estate. Here’s how to get the look at home:
1️⃣ Stick to a traditional color palette — deep reds, forest greens, maroon, and navy never miss.
2️⃣ Bring in classic textiles like tartan, gingham, and rich wool throws for that heritage feel.
3️⃣ Keep it classical over kitschy — no Grinch-green decor in sight 😂
4️⃣ Candles are your best friend — they instantly add warmth and that moody, elegant glow.
5️⃣ And of course, you need a good Christmas playlist to complete the vibe… should I share mine? 🎶
It’s giving old-money holiday charm with a cozy twist ❤️✨

Things I’ll always find chic 🤌🏼✨
1️⃣ The color white — whether it’s an all-white outfit or white florals, it’s forever timeless to me. @abercrombie for white pants👏🏼 @brooklinen or @onequince for quality bedding!!
2️⃣ Pinch pleat curtains — the easiest trick to make your home look more expensive, trust me. My favorite for this look is @twopagescurtains
3️⃣ Thick, high-quality toilet paper — I discovered the magic thanks to Khloé Kardashian and have never looked back. @cottonelle Brand ALWAYS😍
4️⃣ Jalapeños + Sauvignon Blanc — spicy, crisp, and somehow just feels elevated. 💕really loving @avaline right now!!🥂
5️⃣ Tortoiseshell and burlwood in home decor — a little niche, but always so stunning and sophisticated.🤎
6️⃣ High-quality flatware — because heavyweight cutlery makes even a Tuesday night dinner feel fancy. 🥂 check @williamssonoma or @crateandbarrel ✨ specially loveeee @sabre.paris 🌟
Unpopular opinion: I love open-concept homes 😌✨
I know they’re not everyone’s favorite, but when they’re done right, they feel airy, inviting, and effortless.
Here’s how to decorate one like a pro 👇

1️⃣ Pick a color palette and stick to it religiously.
If decorating isn’t your strong suit, neutrals are your best friend — they’ll instantly make your space feel cohesive and calm.

2️⃣ Use area rugs to define spaces.
This is the most important part. Without them, everything blends together and feels like one giant room. I always recommend XL rugs in open-concept layouts.

3️⃣ Layer in lamps.
The biggest mistake people make is skipping lighting — you need multiple lamps to keep things cozy instead of sterile.

4️⃣ Think about walkability.
Since it’s one large space, you should be able to move around easily. Keep pathways open and your furniture layout intentional.

If you do these four things, your open floor plan won’t feel like a warehouse — it’ll feel like a dream home. 🤍

#LTKHome #LTKStyleTip
Homes have gotten a little too copy + paste lately 😬
If you’re craving something more creative or whimsical in your space — here are a few ways to bring back personality and charm ✨
1️⃣ Funky lampshades — If your lamps feel a little boring, swap the shade! Pattern, pleats, or scalloped edges instantly make them feel designer.
2️⃣ Fabric-covered mats — A DIY favorite! Wrapping your photo mats in patterned fabric adds so much texture + color to a gallery wall.
3️⃣ Sconces — So underused! There are tons of wall sconces that work with rechargeable puck lights — no hardwiring needed.
4️⃣ Patterned curtains — Step away from plain white! Patterned or colored curtains (even café curtains in the kitchen!) bring so much life and warmth.
5️⃣ Statement furniture — This one’s an investment, but I love when accent chairs or side tables are a little funky. They instantly give your space character.
It’s time to make your home feel you again 🤍
Which one would you try first? 👇
