What changed? 

Not so much physically but MENTALLY 🤌

Well. I was an era girl through and through. 

I’d go in waves of being consistent. Whether it was with making a smoothie every day or having my greens. I’d do it for a month then it’d fizzle. 

I’d tell myself I’d walk a mile every day and didn’t do it for more than a month. 

For me a large factor was my mindset change from “What can I do to get by” to “what extra ounce of energy do I deserve to give.”

🫶🏼 This transferred to every aspect of my life! 

I felt good about how so was moving. 

I felt good about myself. Confidence followed 💌💌

This is me giving you permission to be selfish! Do something for you girl 💞💞

😊 It wasn’t until I stopped chasing quick results and started focusing on a lifestyle that worked for me that I saw real transformation.

Staying active while I navigate post grad life! 

😙 Here are my top 4 tips! 

😊 Get those steps in! Whether it’s a quick jog after a lift, a stroll around the block at lunch, parking a bit farther from the store, or opting to walk instead of drive—just move your body! 

💪🏼 Don’t fear the weights! Psst… lifting helps your body burn calories even after you’re done. Isn’t that amazing? I could go on and on about lifting—just start, you got this!

❤️‍🔥 Avoid overdoing cardio! This is huge. Pushing yourself too hard with cardio activities you don’t actually enjoy can backfire by triggering stress hormones. We’ve got enough of those already! 

(Also! HIIT = high-intensity interval training!)

🎀 Show up for yourself, girl! You get out what you put in. Do good things for yourself—you deserve to feel great! Plus, it’ll boost your mood and make your sleep extra sweet.

You never truly appreciate your body’s movement until it’s taken away from you.

And the hate with running? I’m a sprinter with a long-distance heart—so yeah, it’s a constant battle!

An active lifestyle is moving with purpose and feeling energized by that movement. The science behind staying active goes beyond just physical health -

Yes, I wear many hats: the corporate one, the fitness/ wellness one, and a bunch of others.

But at the end of the day, the sister, friend, daughter, girlfriend, coworker, and mental health advocate hats are the ones that really fill my cup.

Those are the ones I reach for daily. It’s my choice!

Slow down, break it down, and remind yourself: you’re in your twenties, with the freedom to be a little selfish, to take care of yourself first, and to live fully. Take advantage of being low on that totem pole of responsibilities!

See beyond your external being and work to find that internal energy and well-being that’s cultivated through movement and making space for what matters most.
It’s about finding joy in the little things, whether it’s breaking a sweat in a workout or simply taking a moment to reflect and recharge
