Holiday hosting has taught me one thing… keep a few secrets. 😏
And this one might be my most beloved.

The ultimate mashed potato hack that tastes like you spent all day mashing, whipping, and buttering… but really, you just:

Mix Together in a Baking Dish:

2 packages @bobevansgrocery mashed potatoes
1/2 cup cream cheese
1 stick of butter
Bake covered at 350 for 30 minutes, stir, then serve.

Want to look like a culinary genius? Bake again uncovered at 400 for 20 minutes. The butter creates crispy, golden edges that will have everyone begging for the recipe.

Rich. Creamy. Heavenly.

And no one will ever know how easy it was.

When you’ve hosted long enough… you collect secrets like this. 🥔✨

As Ina would say, storebought is fine… and in this case it totally is. These frozen yeast rolls from @rhodesrolls may not be homemade, but they taste like you spent hours mixing dough and letting it rise. This is truly the easiest Thanksgiving roll hack and it never fails.

All you do is let the frozen rolls rise for 4-5 hours until they’re soft and fluffy. Bake for 15 minutes at 350, then brush on melted butter and sprinkle flaky sea salt while they’re still warm. They come out golden, soft, and absolutely perfect for your Thanksgiving dinner table. You can totally play with flavors and make a compound butter for this...make it even better! Maybe this is a well known hack, but I literally never knew until I was an adult that this was the family secret to our rolls!

Save this if you’re in charge of rolls, want an easy Thanksgiving side, or need a no stress holiday hack that will leave everyone wondering how you pulled off the best rolls ever at Thanksgiving!

It’s time we settle the debate once and for all… dressing or stuffing? Around here, my Mama always said if it doesn’t go in the bird, it’s dressing. And this Traditional Southern Cornbread Dressing is the one dish that absolutely belongs on every Southern Thanksgiving table.

Did you know that the most decadent Chocolate Mousse only has 2 ingredients?! It’s literally the easiest thing to make and will blow your mind! See the recipe below!

2 bars (300g) dark chocolate, I used 70% Cocoa
4 cups heavy whipping cream

In a small saucepan, scald 1 cup of your heavy cream until it just starts to bubble around the edges. Pour over your chocolate bars that have been broken up in a mixing bowl. Stir together until the chocolate is melted and it’s well incorporated. This will make what called a ganache! In a separate bowl, whip the rest of your whipped cream until stiff peaks form. You can add 1/2 cup powdered sugar if you like, but I don’t think it’s necessary. Set aside about 1 cup of whipped cream to top your mousse, but gently fold the rest into your ganache. Put in serving bowls or glasses, and top with remaining whipped cream. I like to top with a raspberries or sliced strawberries! Enjoy!!

Comment SAUCE below for recipe to the easiest and best cranberry sauce you’ve ever had!

RECIPE ⬇️

2 bags fresh cranberries
1 cup sugar (2 if you like it sweeter instead of tart!)
1 cup orange juice
1 cup water
Zest from an orange
2-3 tablespoons orange juice for the end
1 oz orange liqueur (I like Grand Marnier)

In a pan on medium heat, add cranberries, sugar and all of your liquids. Bring to a boil, then turn down the heat and let simmer for 15 minutes. Add orange zest, remaining juice and liqueur at the end! Cranberries release plenty of pectin in the cooking process, so it will gel up beautifully. Chill and serve when ready!
