🧀 Creamy Steakhouse-Style Potato Gratin

Ingredients:
	•	3 lbs Yukon gold potatoes (thinly sliced)
	•	2 cups heavy cream
	•	1 cup whole milk
	•	3 cloves garlic (minced)
	•	1 tsp kosher salt
	•	1/2 tsp fresh cracked black pepper
	•	1/2 tsp fresh thyme (or 1/4 tsp dried)
	•	2 cups shredded Gruyère cheese
	•	1 cup grated Parmesan
	•	2 tbsp butter (for greasing the dish)

How to Make It:
	1.	Preheat oven to 375°F and butter a baking dish.
	2.	Slice potatoes super thin (a mandoline makes this easy). Coat the sliced potatoes in your parmesan cheese in a bowl.
	3.	In a saucepan, warm cream + milk + garlic + thyme (don’t boil, just warm it up).
	4.	Layer potatoes in the dish, sprinkling Gruyère cheese between layers.
	5.	Pour the warm cream mixture over the top and gently press down so everything’s coated.
	6.	Cover with foil and bake 45 minutes.
	7.	Remove foil and bake 25–35 more minutes until golden, bubbly, and the potatoes are fork tender.
	8.	Let it rest 10 minutes before serving (this helps it set up perfectly).

⸻

✨ Pro Tip: The top should look browned and irresistible, and the edges should be bubbling like a little cheesy hot tub situation. That’s how you KNOW it’s right.

If you make this, tag me because I need to see that cheesy pull!! 😍

As Ina would say, storebought is fine… and in this case it totally is. These frozen yeast rolls from @rhodesrolls may not be homemade, but they taste like you spent hours mixing dough and letting it rise. This is truly the easiest Thanksgiving roll hack and it never fails.

All you do is let the frozen rolls rise for 4-5 hours until they’re soft and fluffy. Bake for 15 minutes at 350, then brush on melted butter and sprinkle flaky sea salt while they’re still warm. They come out golden, soft, and absolutely perfect for your Thanksgiving dinner table. You can totally play with flavors and make a compound butter for this...make it even better! Maybe this is a well known hack, but I literally never knew until I was an adult that this was the family secret to our rolls!

Save this if you’re in charge of rolls, want an easy Thanksgiving side, or need a no stress holiday hack that will leave everyone wondering how you pulled off the best rolls ever at Thanksgiving!
