My home is lovely, but it’s not my dream, and it took me years of pining and feeling frustrated with its quirks, wishing for something different, and then I realized… I can love my home just the way it is, and still want something different in the future. It’s uncomfortable for me to not have a plan laid out, but with all the turns my life has taken the past few years, I’ve gotten a little more used to that. I’m honestly so happy living in my home now. I’ve made the changes I could, never knocking down walls or doing a full renovation but starting with a foundation I liked (lots of warm white paint) and then adding beautiful details. There’s no point feeling frustrated when it doesn’t make any sense for me to have bought my dream home at any point in my life thus far! But I can do so much, and feel so grateful, with what I have. Even if you can’t do anything to your home, not even paint, you can still hang a Valentine’s garland, pick out dishes that make you happy, get yourself some fresh flowers…! No need to wait for the perfect home. LTKmomlife LTKHome LTKSeasonal
