Taco burgers 🍔🌮 Follow @fridasofiaeats + comment “Recipe” for a link to this recipe! This is the perfect way to use up leftover burger buns, hamburger buns and burger meat you have in your freezer forwards the end of summer! ☀️ 15 burger buns or 12 hot dog buns or a mix 2 lbs burger meat or ground beef 1 to 2 bags of taco spice, depending on how spicy the mix is and how much spice you want. I used 1 package @sietefoods 1 cup shredded cheese, you can use whatever you have but I used Mexican blend 4 slices cheddar cheese. Use whatever sliced you have at home or sub for more shredded cheese 1/4 cup salsa Handful of tortilla chips, crushed 1. Lightly coat a sheet pan with olive oil spray. Arrange the bottoms of the burger buns in an even layer and sprinkle with 1/3 cup shredded cheese. 1. In a large skillet, cook the burgers or ground beef over medium heat, breaking it apart as it cooks. About halfway through, stir in the taco seasoning and continue cooking until fully browned. 2. Spoon the seasoned beef evenly over the bun bottoms. Top with salsa, sliced cheese, crushed tortilla chips, and the remaining shredded cheese. 3. Place the top buns over the layers, then lightly spray them with olive oil. Set another sheet pan on top, pressing down gently. Bake for 10–15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the buns are golden and slightly crisp.
