Happy International Day of the girl! Today more than ever it is crucial for us to provide strong female role models and mentors that will help to enable our daughters, nieces, cousins and friends to realize their full potential. I want to show my daughter that she can be anything she wants to be- a CEO, a entrepreneur, an engineer, a doctor, a journalist. I want to tell her that with a little hard work and passion, she has the power to make a change in this world. I know that Instagram is based on appearances and image, but I want to use my influence for something greater... what’s the point of being an influencer if you do can’t influence change or encourage others.? There is a children’s book just released on @amazon called ‘pretty, a children’s book for Girls,’ about the importance of telling our daughters that they are so much more than how they look.
