I DON’T WANT TO BE PERFECT... I’d much rather be real. And my friends- even if photos on Instagram look real, the majority of time photoshop, great lighting, makeup and heavy filtering play a role in selling the idea that perfection exists. But to me, it’s an unattainable state in real life. . . My laugh lines tell a story of all the times I’ve spent laughing so hard I could cry. My c-section scar tells the story of the incredible feat it took to get pregnant via IVF and then give birth to 2 beautiful babies. And all of those stretch marks represent the transformation my body has been through over the years- I have been 100 lbs at the peak of my anorexia in college. I have been in the upper 100s range when I was 9 months pregnant. Let’s face it- your body shape changes when you have babies. I may be close to my college weight now, but honestly I will never fit into the same jeans again. Because I’ve changed. My body has changed- for the better.
