“If a 90-year-old were to pay you $100 million dollars to trade places, would you do it?”-The Finance Twins Chances are that most of us wouldn’t. What’s the point? If you can’t have your health to enjoy the money, then why do it? The bottom line: time is more valuable than money. The goal is to live life on our own terms, and that begins with small steps, like automating finances. I’m almost done reading “I will teach you to be rich” @ramit , and I love how he has a whole section dedicated to automating finances. We have been doing this for years, including our retirement investing. Every paycheck, money is automatically diverted to our retirement accounts without my husband or I spending a second thinking about it. The money goes in, and automatically goes to our future, freeing up our time/calendar for other things that matter to us like spending time with our kids. We do a couple of budget check-ins throughout the month, and as long as I stay on top of reconciling my transactions, the most time we spend on our budget is once a month for our budget meeting! It’s all about figuring out a system that works best for you, and for us, it’s a system that requires the least amount of time to maintain. If your calendar was cleared for a day, what would you do with your time? . . . . . http://liketk.it/2LbnT liketkit @liketoknow.it LTKhome LTKfamily @liketoknow.it.family @liketoknow.it.home Follow me on the LIKEtoKNOW.it shopping app to get the product details for this look and others
