When I am spending money, my budget is ALWAYS on my mind. Thankfully, if I am ever unsure of how much I have to spend in a category, all I need to do is pull up @youneedabudget app on my phone, and see how much money is left in that particular category. This weekend we spent money in at least 4 categories: His Fun money (purchased a mountain bike for my husband), Her Fun money (coffee), Groceries (we went and picked fresh strawberries at @theecologycenter), and Potluck/Serving other’s with food (picked up potato wedges for a potluck at church). I’ve recently started thinking about doing cash envelopes for a few categories. We used to do cash envelopes, but I lost them twice!!! Thankfully people turned them in both times, and I received them totally intact twice. I’m thinking it would be helpful for My "Fun Money” to carry cash, because I might be less likely to spend the money if it’s more tangible, and in my hands when I want to spend it.
