Think of the Brie wedge 🔽 coming from a large round Brie wheel ⚪️. The center of the wheel is the most ripe part and gets less ripe as you get to the outer edge. By cutting the long slices, more people can have a taste of the center/tip and share in the variations of ripeness throughout the wedge. Oftentimes, this etiquette is not followed. The tip goes first and at the end of the party the Brie has been picked over with a sad hunk of rind left behind. That said, I often break this rule when shooting cheese videos. For instance, I break it in Part 3 of this Brie series (because I wanted a great shot that would show the filling) and in the video for my @worldmarket cheese knives because (again) the shot looked better. But at parties I try to do it the “right” way. #LTKGiftGuide
