SKIN AT 60? ✨ It’s more than just creams. Nothing to swipe because I’m doing it all!! 😉 I love a good skincare routine, but as a 61-year-old pharmacist, I know healthy skin is so much more than creams! What we eat, how we move, how we sleep and the nutrients we give our bodies can all play a role in supporting our skin as we age. A few things that are part of MY healthy-skin routine: ONE: Supplements ✨ Protein — Our skin needs amino acids to make structural proteins like collagen and elastin. I prioritize protein throughout my day. ✨ Collagen peptides — Collagen production naturally declines with age. My grass fed beef protein is naturally high in collagen. I’ll use Biosil to help my body make its own collagen too! ✨ Omega-3s — I take an omega-3 for overall health, with the added bonus of supporting the skin barrier and healthy skin. ✨ Zinc — An important nutrient involved in skin health, wound healing and normal collagen synthesis. Supplements are only part of the picture. TWO: Lifestyle Strength training , nutrient dense foods ( you can choose Vitamin C rich) , hydration, sleep and sun protection are all part of my lifestyle choices too. THREE: Skincare I’m consistent with my skincare and include a retinoid at bedtime, sunscreen for day and at home laser or microcurrent daily… and YES, I’m open to professional treatments that support my skin and collagen as I age. Healthy aging isn’t one product, one supplement or one treatment. It’s the little things we do consistently. What’s ONE thing you do every day for healthy skin?
